The F-Sim Space Shuttle is a fully remastered version of our original simulator and has been completely rewritten from scratch. This new edition boasts a range of exciting features:

New to piloting a Space Shuttle? Don't worry, we've got you covered. We provide several tutorials with varying levels of autopilot assist. Additionally, our landing analysis and scoring system will guide you on how to enhance your future landings, which will undoubtedly keep you coming back for more.

Each flight begins at either 10,000 feet aligned with the runway or up to 50,000 feet before banking into the heading alignment cone. As the Orbiter descends, it transforms into an unpowered glider, allowing only one opportunity for a successful landing. Often referred to as a "flying brick" due to its substantial weight and low lift-to-drag ratio, the Space Shuttle necessitates an approach six times steeper and two times faster than a typical airliner approach. Once you've mastered your first safe touchdown, challenge yourself to achieve the perfect landing, compare your high scores with friends online, earn medals, and unlock achievements. Want to test your skills further? Experiment with different wind conditions, night approaches, emergency scenarios, or system failures. Also, at the conclusion of each flight, revel in a thrilling replay from multiple camera angles.

Controlling the Orbiter is as intuitive as tilting your device to adjust the pitch and roll axes. Alternatively, you have the option to use on-screen analog sticks or a gamepad. The autopilot generally handles rudder, speed brake, gear, and chute control, although you can opt for full manual control if desired. For beginners, we've added visualized rectangles that illustrate the desired approach path. Simply aim to stay within this corridor of rectangles, and they will efficiently guide you to the touchdown point. Advanced pilots can disable these aids and rely on the instruments in the head-up display (HUD) instead. Rest assured that the simulated guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems are authentic replicas of their real Orbiter counterparts. The HUD also features all the instruments real Space Shuttle commanders employed to skillfully land this exceptional aircraft. Now it's your turn to test your abilities.

In addition to these features, we have introduced a new orbit mode that allows you to take the Orbiter for a spin around the planet. Furthermore, we are currently working on a comprehensive atmospheric re-entry scenario, among other exciting updates that will be released in the coming months at no extra cost.
